Peter Was Nearly Hit By An Out Of Control Driverless Motorcycle

Peter Was Nearly Hit By An Out Of Control Driverless Motorcycle is a book about fear, grief, masculinity and boredom. The writing is absurdist and is somewhere in between a short story and a play script. It's based very loosely on true events. The typeface used throughout the book is called 'Motorbike Crash', and it's used to emphasize how the protagonist is feeling. The type is meant to represent the blurry feeling you get in a disassociated state of fear. At the beginning of the story the character is going through a particularly normal day. The writing begins to fade from the page, just like the reader's attention span during this section. Then all of a sudden there's an incident with a motorcycle, and the rest of the story is a discussion on how to deal with that. There's an out of control, driverless motorcycle about to hit us at any second, and this book discusses that haunting idea.

The book is displayed on a shelf covered in posters I made to show the typeface in a more expressive fashion. This book is being displayed at the NCAD Grad show 2026, and this is how I decorated my space.
